I'm a bilingual (English/Spanish) family physician at LG Health Physicians Family Medicine Downtown. I joined the faculty of the Family Medicine Residency Program in 2019 as the Director of Osteopathic Education after nearly 12 years in practice at a local federally qualified health center, where my roles included Family Physician, Site Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer. I received my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed the Family and Community Medicine Residency Program at Lancaster General Hospital in 2007. My areas of clinical interest include full-spectrum family practice, with a focus on family-centered obstetrical care, women’s health, addiction medicine and global health/refugee care. After graduating from Franklin & Marshall College with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Anthropology and Latin American History, and prior to attending medical school, I worked as a Community Health Worker and Health Educator serving migrant and seasonal farmworkers. I've also volunteered on mission trips to Nicaragua, Honduras, Thailand and Tanzania, and I continue to travel internationally to collaborate on projects focused on poverty, social justice and global health. Since completing residency, I've been a community preceptor for residents, medical students and advanced practice clinician students, and I'm excited to now be leading the osteopathic curriculum for the family medicine residency program. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, hiking, traveling, sampling international foods, cheering on the sidelines at soccer games and working with my husband to renovate our 1930s home. I reside in Lancaster with my husband and four children.
