KMC Philadelphia has offered meditation classes to the Philadelphia community for over ten years. It was previously located at 8th and Chestnut Streets and moved to its current location of 1102 Pine Street in 2011.

Kadampa Meditation Center Philadelphia is a non-profit organization based in Philadelphia, PA and is a member of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union. The center offers the study programs and meditation classes of Kadampa Buddhism, under the guidance of Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Tenzin, a western Buddhist monk. KMC Philadelphia strives to provide a conducive environment for people to deepen their understanding and experience of meditation practice and Buddhist studies. All classes are given in English. You do not have to be a Buddhist or a member of the center to attend classes. Everyone is welcome. Please see our website for information on weekly classes, day courses, and social events.
