Chef and Owner David Hall established Joshua's Catering in 2002. A graduate of the French Culinary Institute in New York City, David apprenticed with Chef Fritz Blank at the renowned Deux Cheminees restaurant in Center City Philadelphia, served as the Garde Manger at the Spring Mill Café, and Sous Chef de Party at the William Penn Inn prior to starting Joshua’s.
David founded Joshua’s – named after his son Joshua – to prepare and serve the kind of food he loves…fresh, healthy, homemade. David was cooking with natural and organic ingredients long before it became a more popular practice. He continues to evolve his culinary and business operations to embrace eco-friendly practices by working with local farms, bakers, florists, and other local businesses to offer seasonal foods and other natural and organic products.
Joshua’s mission is to exceed our clients' expectations every time by providing inventive menus, scrumptious tasting food, artful presentations, flawless service, and a friendly and collaborative work style to make both the planning and the event fun for all!
David is joined by a team of professionals, including not only trained chefs, but individuals with backgrounds in event planning and coordination, hospitality, and customer service.
