Established in 1971, Beaver County Library System serves 15 school districts through its 11 member libraries and bookmobile. The bookmobile provides public library access to county residents living in municipalities. Located in Monaca, Pa., the library system is funded by county, state and federal organizations. The library offers a wide variety of services, including library catalog, Internet facility, reference service, database searching facility, business and career information, computers, facsimile transmission, copy machines, meeting rooms, exhibits and displays, inter-library loan, activities for families and school children. It is well-stocked with books on an array of subjects and also offers best sellers, paperbacks, large print books, magazines and newspapers, teacher concept kits, videos, audio cassettes, compact discs, demonstrations and talks, story hours, summer reading programs, national library week activities, senior citizen activities and book discussions.
