Jewish Family and Children s Service of Greater Philadelphia, also known as JFCS, offers an array of services to help children, adults, families, seniors and families. It works in affiliation with the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and is a member of United Way. Jewish Family and Children s Service of Greater Philadelphia was established in 1983 after the merger of the Association for Jewish Children and Jewish Family Service. It organizes a variety of Jewish community services and education and outreach programs in collaboration with public and private schools, Jewish Day schools, synagogues and other community organizations. It maintains the OpenArms Adoption Network, which is a fully licensed agency that provides services and counseling for the adoption process. Jewish Family and Children s Service of Greater Philadelphia maintains several locations in Philadelphia.
