About ICP The Islamic Center of Pittsburgh is the area's largest Mosque, providing services to Muslim and Non-Muslim communities in Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, and Northern West Virginia. Vision of ICP To become a leading faith-based institution in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas promoting Islamic Values, accurate understanding of Islam, and empowering Muslims to become effective God-conscious citizens. ICP Mission ICP is an Islamic institution serving the Greater Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. It provides quality religious, educational and social services in a diverse and culturally respectful environment. The ICP is managed by: a Board of Trustees, an Executive Committee, and Staff, who are listed below. Executive Committee - Are elected brothers and sisters whose duties include managing the day to day operations at the ICP. They are unpaid, and work completely on a volunteer basis. Board of Trustees - Are elected brothers and sisters whose duties include managing assets and safe guarding the Islamic Center. The Board of trustees oversees the long term plans and goals for ICP and helps organize fund raising activities. They are unpaid and work on a completely volunteer basis. ( Board of Trustee members are listed below in no particular order ) Responsible for conducting the general prayer services at the ICP, along with teaching classes, performing marriages, conducting funerals, Q& A for ask the imam, member of the zakat committee, performs counseling sessions, performs lectures to teach about Islam, also is a leader with the MYICP youth group. Two days a week performs services for two different prisons in Ohio, performs marriages, does hospital chaplaincy, Q& A for ask the imam, teaches various classes, assists the HFTC program, performs counseling sessions, a member of the zakat committee, and also is a leader with the MYICP youth group. Responsible for organizing and managing office affairs, including donations, reminder letters, emails, phone calls, website design and management, bulletin boards, Friday cook manager, assistant to the weekend school and Summer Program, Group coordinator of the Food Program and the Ladies Coffee Hour. Responsible for the cleaning and set up of the upstairs and downstairs of the Islamic center of Pittsburgh for Friday Prayers and Sunday School.
