Fordhook Farm is a research farm for the Burpee Seed Company, specializing in flowers and vegetable plants. Prior to 1993, the property had included a bed and breakfast; however, the inn is no longer open to the public. Rooms are occasionally made available for Burpee Seed Company executives and VIPs only.
