Hillel Academy of Pittsburgh, established in1958, is a Jewish day school. Located in Pittsburgh, the school enrolls more than 250 students in grades kindergarten through 12. Its early childhood program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and provides reading, writing and math skills. Its curriculum for elementary, middle, and high school includes English, math, science, social studies, Judaic studies, art, music, computer studies and physical education. The school offers learning support program for academic support to its students. The Academy organizes events, such as Purim, Hillel annual dinner and award night celebration. It also offers educational trips for 10th and 11th graders to Israel. It offers various sports activities, including football, track, baseball, softball, hockey, basketball, cross-country, and soccer. School students are required to complete a minimum of 18-hours of community service every year.
