Dr. Hamid Abdollahi's area of expertise includes aesthetic procedures of the face and body. As part of his extensive training, he did an aesthetic surgery fellowship at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital in New York, one of the most prestigious aesthetic fellowship programs in the country. He is well-versed in the latest cosmetic techniques including facelift surgery, rhinoplasty as well breast and body contouring. Dr. Abdollahi completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He trained at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where he completed both his internship and general surgery residency. While at Jefferson he was the recipient of multiple awards including the Thomas Jefferson Resident Teaching Award and was inducted into the Association of Pathology Honors Society and Hobart Amory Hare Honor Society. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with Summa Cum Laude honors with B.A. in Biology and a minor in chemistry. During his time at Jefferson, Dr. Abdollahi performed an extra year of basic science research in the Division of Vascular Surgery. His focus was on adipose-derived stem cells (ASC) and the effect of hypoxia on their angiogenic potential. An area that has tremendous potential in dealing with problems with wound healing.
