The John J. Kane Regional Centers, owned and operated by Allegheny County, are four facilities with a bed capacity of 360-plus beds per center. The centers provide skilled nursing care to individuals who meet the requirements for admission. Kane Regional Centers offer medical care, a full rehabilitation program and specialty medical clinics. Though the primary mission is to provide quality long-term care, the centers serve as resources for residents of the communities they serve. Kane Regional Centers also offer on-site adult day care services and adult education classes. The centers are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and participate in the Medicare and Medical Assistance Program.
