History
In 1913, the members of the East Falls community received funding from Andrew Carnegie to build the Falls of Schuylkill Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia. Over the last (nearly) one hundred years, the branch has grown to be the heart of the East Falls community, offering fun, entertaining, social and even educational programs and services to anyone who walks in the door. Staffed by friendly people who know their job and are pleasant while doing it, a visit to the Falls of Schuylkill Branch is an escape from the everyday into a world where what *you* want is what matters-- whether it's finding a job, a dvd, an open computer, or a quiet place to sit and relax-- and where it is our pleasure to help you find it...
