Erie Day School is a co-educational elementary school founded in 1929. The school offers a comprehensive line of education opportunities as well as extra-curricular activities for students in preschool through grade 8. Its lower school curriculum emphasizes on subjects, such as reading, phonics, mathematics, handwriting and social studies. The educational institution also provides Spanish, French, science, computer, art and music classes on a weekly basis. Erie Day School provides its own line of PEP (Personalizes Education Program), a mixed-grade-level program for its middle school students. The program offers courses in English, mathematics, general sciences and social sciences as well as programs designed to engage students in performing arts, visual arts, foreign languages, computer science and athletics. Erie Day School is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and accredited by the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools (PAIS).
