Formerly known as Pine Tree Park, a small amusement park, it has been Emmaus Community Park since 1957. Whether you come for music, a ball game or just to let your kids play in its playground, you can enjoy many hours in the park. Eventually you will barely notice trains rumbling by on busy tracks flanking one side of the park and the Pennsylvania Turnpike carrying noisy traffic on another. The park's amenities include the borough's swimming pools, baseball fields and the open-air Performing Arts Pavilion, where many folks enjoy band concerts in summer. The park has many picnic pavilions, which should be reserved in advance. It also has a paved walking trail that passes over Leibert Creek, which has been allowed to revert to a largely natural state to prevent soil erosion. The park is along Shimerville Road just off Pennsylvania Avenue.
