Established in 1926, the Tredyffrin Township Police Department is a law enforcement agency that preserves peace, protects residents lives and their property, arrests law violators and enforces measures to prevent crime. It operates the Special Operations Team (SOT), which deals with high-risk and dangerous situations, including barricaded persons, high-risk warrant arrests, explosive devices and heavily armed criminals. The Tredyffrin Township Police Department also maintains a citizens police academy that provides programs and services for crime prevention in association with residents.
