History
Citizens Against Animal Abuse is a non-profit animal rescue organization. Our goal is to find a loving home for every rescue that comes through our door while building a world-wide network of foster parents, volunteers, benefactors and supporters. Our organization utilizes a foster parenting method. It allows our rescues to experience love, attention, physical activity and socialization that they so desperately desire. We place each rescue in a foster home where they will spend time with people, receive love and attention as they are recovering physically and most importantly mentally. Each year thousands of innocent animals are abandoned, abused and neglected. CAAA dedicates all of its resources to stopping this from happening through our rescue work and educating the public on responsible pet ownership. Our organization means the world to us and we put our heart and soul into each pet we take under our care. Animals Rule!
Specialties
Citizens Against Animal Abuse is a non profit animal rescue organization that utilizes a foster parenting method to care for its rescues instead of caging them. We take care of all the costs associated with each rescue such as initial vet visit to evaluate the rescue, blood work, all vet costs if any additional medical procedures are needed, vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter procedure, foster care, food, supplies, accessories and anything else that may be needed. We specialize in caring for mostly all animals except horses, cows and other large animals. However, we are currently working very hard on being able to take in all types of animals. Citizens Against Animal Abuse also specializes in behavior evaluation and modification. Before we take in a pet that is being turned over to us, we try to work with the pet's owner and understand why the animal is no longer wanted and if it is something that can be corrected so that the pet can stay with it's original parent. Sometimes the solution can be as simple as proper litter training or better communication between the owner and the pet.
