Today CPYB is the nation's preeminent school of classical ballet with an international reputation for training young men and women. As the Resident Ballet Company for Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts in Harrisburg, Pa., CPYB presents the highest caliber in ballet performances. Located in the vibrant historical community of Carlisle, Pa., Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet's Academic Ballet Program consists of three divisions:Preschool (ages 3+), Primary (ages 6+), and Pre-Professional. Each division challenges students in their physical, mental, artistic and emotional development. Classes focus on clarity of position and quality of movement, and help students develop, strengthen and perfect ballet technique. Students in the dedicated Men's Program acquire the skills and knowledge needed to launch their dance career! Performance experience is an integral part of the CPYB training.
