Central Dauphin School District is a suburban community of more than 83,000 residents and a student population of over 11,000. It is one of the largest school districts in Dauphin County, Pa. Encompassing an area of more than 118-square-miles, the district is comprised of three boroughs, Dauphin, Paxtang and Penbrook, and lower and middle Paxton, Swatara and West Hanover townships in Pennsylvania. Its students attend one of more than 15 elementary middle and high schools, and are transported from urban, suburban and rural areas by the district s own transportation system. The district s curriculum includes art, music, language arts, math, physical education, science, social studies and foreign language. Central Dauphin School District is located in Harrisburg, Pa.
