The Carmelite Monastery of the Little Flower of Jesus, located in Buffalo, New York, has announced their relocation to the Diocese of Saint Augustine in north Florida after over a century of blessings in Buffalo. The decision to move was made in order to find a more suitable location that provides the necessary solitude and silence required for their life of contemplative prayer.
Founded in 1920 by Mother Mary Elias of the Blessed Sacrament, O.C.D., the Carmelite Nuns have been an integral part of the religious fabric of the Diocese of Buffalo, serving Western New York with love and devotion. Although physically leaving Buffalo, the Carmelite Nuns will always hold the faithful close to their hearts, lifting them up in prayer each and every day.
