Bushkill Township, established in 1763, is located in the north central part of Northampton County, bordered by Ross, Plainfield, Nazareth and Moore townships, Penn., covering more than 26-square-miles. Their first inhabitants were the Delaware Indians, followed by the early settlers who were mostly German farmers. The township has developed 12-acres of land into nine ball fields, a youth playground area, an acre and half parking lot, and a pavilion donated by the Lions Club that are available to the residents of the township for picnics and outings. It also provides a police department and a fire department to serve its residents. Bushkill Township is headquartered in Nazareth, Penn.
