Centuries ago, what is now Buckingham Township was almost exclusively a farming community. Since the 1970s, though, many of those fertile fields have grown housing developments. Today, Buckingham is the largest township in Bucks County, at just more than 33 square miles and boasts a population of more than 16,000. Three elected supervisors govern the town; they meet twice a month, on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.
