History
BVVH was established by Dr. James Cowan in 1950, and was a mixed practice serving small and large animals in the Coatesville, and southeast Lancaster County area. Dr. John Moss joined the practice after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, and became a partner with Dr. Cowan in the early 1980's. When Dr. Cowan retired in the mid '80's, Dr. Moss purchased the practice from him, and focused the practice on small animal care. In addition, Dr. Moss established an orthopedic referral service in 1983 to serve local veterinary hospitals, and has since continued to agressively pursue continuing education in dentistry and surgery. The hospital continues to offer progressive small animal care and advanced diagnosticsfor all pet, and focuses on client education about pet health care Currently the hospital is a three doctor practice with Dr. Carol Schafer and Dr. Jeanne Dudas working with Dr. Moss as associates.
