The Bridesburg Boys & Girls Club was established in 1941 and offers programs in five-core areas that include character and leadership, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts and sports, fitness and recreation. It provides a full-size gymnasium and a licensed childcare center that specializes in after-school programs. A range of clubs and programs are offered that include torch club, keystone club, super girls club (kindergarten through fourth grades), homework help, tutoring, project learn, youth of the year, Americorps club service, SmartMoves and fitness plus. It also offers arts and crafts, ceramics, photography and sports leagues, such as flag football, soccer, basketball and floor and roller hockey. The club also hosts special events, such as monthly dances, haunted house, turkey shoot, Easter egg hunts, book giveaways, two-ball tourneys, gameroom tourneys and drawing contests. The Bridesburg Boys & Girls Club is based in Philadelphia and has served more than 12,000 youth.
