The Boys & Girls Club of Central Pennsylvania, founded in 1939, is located in Harrisburg, Pa., and serves more than 3,000 at-risk kids. It offers programs and specific guidance-oriented activities including socialization and team building through sports and recreation, vocational motivation through training and job placement, educational motivation through remedial studies and tutoring and individual and group guidance to address special needs and develop specific talents. B&GCCP also offers a range of clubs, such as street smart, kids in control, power hour, family support, fine arts exhibits program, national photography contest, jazz band program, career explorers, job ready, keystone club and junior staff development.
