Baldwin Independent Fire Company No. 1 relies on well-trained volunteers to serve the Borough of Baldwin 24 hours a day. The company has a fleet of five vehicles, including three large trucks, to help keep borough residents and property safe. Thirty-two firefighters currently serve at Baldwin Independent, though the station is always looking for more courageous people. The Baldwin community supports the station through various fundraising efforts. Baldwin Independent was established in 1929.
