Ampco-Pittsburgh Corporation manufactures and sells custom-engineered equipment in the United States. Incorporated in 1929, the corporation classifies its businesses in two segments, forged and cast rolls, and air and liquid processing. Its wholly owned subsidiary, Union Electric Steel Corporation is one of the world s largest producers of forged hardened steel rolls for the metal forming industry. Other subsidiary, Davy Roll Company manufactures cast rolls for hot and cold strip mills, medium and heavy section mills and plate mills, in a variety of iron and steel qualities. The air and liquid processing segment manufactures finned tube heat exchanger coils and related heat transfer equipment and accessories, such as process gas coolers and heaters, and transformer oil coolers through its subsidiary, Aerofin Corporation. The segment also manufactures large standard and custom air handling systems for commercial and industrial buildings through Buffalo Air handling Company. The corporation s subsidiary, Buffalo Pumps manufactures centrifugal pumps for the refrigeration, power generation and marine defense industries. Ampco-Pittsburgh Corporation is located in Pittsburgh.
