History
In 1987 Chief Justice Warren Berger selected AHT's founder, William Summerfield, to portray President George Washington for a Bicentennial Tour, re-enacting the route the US Constitution made after it passed with enough voted to become the Law of the New Nation. 30 years later, AHT continues on. With over 100 characters from National and World Heritage. From Galileo and William Penn, to Thomas Jefferson and Abigail Adams, Harriet Tubman and Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, AHT's character span the centuries of Knowledge and Inspiration, bringing to life the lessons of the past to help further inspire the future.

American Historical Theatre is a Not-for-profit (501-C-3) corporation. Bringing History to life for Events, Schools, Symposia, AHT's world-class Actor Historians provide First-person interactive presentations to audiences of all ages and Education levels. From Kindergarten students, through Supreme Court Judges, We Entertain, We Educate, We Inspire. (Note most of our Actor Historians reside in South East PA.)
