Established in 1888 A. Pomerantz & Co. was owned and operated by the Pomerantz family until Garry Maddox, former Phillies Center Fielder, purchased the company in 1995. Garry has been the active CEO since he acquired the company. Garry is the recipient of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition & Citizenship Education Funds Curt Flood Award. The award was presented by Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr., Martin L. King, Esq. and Russell Ewert in recognition of efforts toward A More Perfect Union - The State of Civil Rights.
