Central Portland Workforce Training Center, located in Portland, Ore., is a more than 31,000-square-foot facility. The center is a division of Portland Community College. The three-story structure was built in 1996 and it serves more than 10,000 students. The center houses a more than 100-seat auditorium and catering kitchen set up for groups to hold meetings and seminars. The building has been outfitted with instructional technologies, including interactive television and teleconferencing. The workforce training center also offers courses in management and professional development, health care continuing education, computer training, life enrichment, small business development, English as a second language, senior studies and distance education. The facility has a more than 150-space parking lot and is near many of Portland's largest streets and freeways.
