The Southern Oregon Education Service District serves more than 10 school districts, over 100 buildings, nearly 3,500 teachers and approximately 52,000 students in Jackson, Josephine and Klamath counties in Oregon. It provides evaluative, consultative and direct special education services to students with disabilities. The district also conducts classes to provide one-on-one instruction to severe autistic children between the ages of 5 and 8. The Southern Oregon Education Service District additionally offers various diagnostic hearing services, such as bone conduction testing, visual reinforcement, speech audiometry, hearing-aid evaluation, and acoustic immittance and otoacoutstic emissions testing. In addition, it provides early intervention, psychological, and speech and language services to schools and districts. The district provides a courier service for pickup and delivery of a variety of media materials and equipment. The Southern Oregon Education Service District is located in Phoenix, Ore.
