Mid Oregon Credit Union
HistoryMid Oregon started on November 22, 1957 as Tri County (Deschutes, Jefferson, Crook) Teachers Federal Credit Union to serve school employees & families as the first credit union established in Central Oregon. Mrs. Wauge, a school district employee, left her job to start the credit union, which was federally chartered on November 22, 1957. In October 1961, the name was changed to Mid Oregon Federal Credit Union. In August 1975, the credit union moved out of the Wauge's home into a business property. A new more modern building was constructed and opened in May 1981 at 202 NE Olney and is still an operating branch. On July 1 1982, Mid Oregon merged with Central Oregon Federal Credit Union, adding 1300 government employees in the three counties. In 1995, the National Credit Union Administration granted an expansion to include all people and legal entities in Deschutes County, and now includes Jefferson, Crook, Wheeler, Lake & Northern Klamath Counties.SpecialtiesYou'll experience a full-service branch with a drive-up ATM.
