South Albany High School is a part of Greater Albany Public School District 8J, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Founded in 1970, South Albany High School serves more than 1,300 students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes various courses, such as arts and communications; business and management; human and natural resources; and industrial and engineering systems. The school offers several sports activities, including baseball, football, volleyball, softball, basketball, soccer, golf, tennis, wrestling, swimming, bowling, and track and field. In addition, the school operates several groups and associations, including the National Honor Society, cheerleading team, jazz choir, and Spanish, German and booster clubs. South Albany High School is located in Albany, Ore.
