Redmond Area Park and Recreation District was incorporated on July 8, 1975 for the purpose of providing park and recreation facilities for the residents residing within the boundaries of the district. At this time, the district's facilities include the Cascade Swim Center and CSC Park, the RAPRD Activity Center, the High Desert Sports Complex, Borden Beck Park, and undeveloped parks at Majestic Ridge in Redmond and outside the city limits at Tetherow Crossing.RAPRD offers recreational programs for the greater Redmond, Oregon community. We serve the communities of Redmond, Terrebonne, and Tumalo. The mission of the district is to develop and enhance recreation facilities and opportunities for the communities we serve.The district will begin development of the Majestic Summit Park in 2009. This neighborhood park is planned to have a picnic area, small playground and walking trails.
