History
Reason's WTA opened in January of 2020. After a couple of temporary closures due to Gov. Brown's Covid orders, we are now open in our new location, the spacious Salem Gymnastics Center! We are still implementing safe Covid procedures by keeping social distance as much as possible, wearing masks, taking temperatures with a touchless thermometer, cleaning kicking pads/bags, chairs, bathroom, etc after each class. NOTE: We will be adding a Saturday morning class beginning April 3rd. Check our website for further details and recent updates.
Specialties
At Reason's World Taekwondo Academy, our goal is to develop people with black belt attitudes, black belt hearts, and black belt abilities. We emphasize character qualities like respect, courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, leadership, self-confidence, goal-setting, and serving others by participating in various community service projects. We also work on developing muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, agility, balance, coordination, and body fat reduction. And of course we train people in self-defense by teaching the Korean martial arts of Taekwondo and Hapkido. We also train with offensive weapons like nunchucks, combat sticks, and bo staff, as well as learn defensive strategies against weapons like knives and guns.
