Founded in 1983, the Leatherman Tool Group offers many styles and sizes of products that are used by backpackers, campers, anglers, hunters, craftsmen and travelers. The company designs and manufactures multiuse hand tools and pocketknives along with a complete line of accessories, such as tool adapters, sheaths, clips, bit kits and drivers. Most Leatherman tools feature pliers, blades, scissors, can openers, awls, files and screwdrivers. The company uses stainless steel for most of its products, but has begun manufacturing tools made from titanium. It also sells shirts, hats and lapel pins.
