History
The Oregon Air National Guard was founded on July 30, 1940. In the early days, the 123rd Observation Squadron only had 2 aircraft and provided observation missions for the entire state of Oregon. Currently, the Oregon Air National Guard has three bases. These are located in Portland, Klamath Falls, and Warrenton. The primary mission of the Oregon Air National Guard is provide the air defense for the Pacific Northwest, while utilizing the F-15 Eagle aircraft.

The Oregon Air National Guard provides the air defense for the Pacific Northwest. We actively respond to threats to American airspace from airlines that divert from flight plans to foreign nations testing our response time. We train, educate, and provide 100% Tuition Assistance for schools such as Portland State University, Portland Community College, Oregon State University, and many more.
