HistoryMontavilla UMC has been in the area since 1893. Our goal for building use is to become a type of community center for the Montavilla neighborhood. Some of the current groups that meet or hold events at Montavilla UMC include: Portland School of Music and Dance, Folk Time, Montavilla Farmer's Market Board, Montavilla Neighborhood Association, Montavilla Food Coop, Consonare Chorale, Community Oversight Advisory Board, Design for Living AA group, Sober on Sunday Nites AA group, Style PDX, Cebuano speaking organization, Kairos Outside, NAMI, and Mental Health America of Oregon.SpecialtiesMontavilla UMC has several event spaces available at very reasonable rates.
