Klamath Community Corrections, also known as the Adult Probation and Parole Department, is a county government-operated department that promotes public safety. Located in Klamath Falls, Ore., the department manages more than 35,000 offenders who have committed crimes and have been placed under supervision by various courts. Klamath County Community Corrections also supervises sex offenders through home visits, referrals, office appointments, treatment and frequent polygraph examinations. The department administers electronic monitoring programs that notify home detention officers of unauthorized departures made by offenders from their residences. In addition, its community service programs include placement services for offenders at government and private nonprofit agencies.
