History
At Karate For Kids we teach children to be leaders in their own lives by training them to become Black Belts. We have taught children to become strong both mentally and physically for over 12 years. Beaverton's Karate For Kids was founded by Master Barry Lyon in 2002. In 2003 Mr. Simpson joined the school and already having a background in martial arts was quickly promoted to Head Instructor. In 2005, Master Lyon felt that Mr. Simpson was ready to run the school on his own and offered to sell it to him. From 2005 until today Mr. Simpson has worked with his wife and partner, 4th Degree Black Belt - Head Instructor Jennifer Simpson to grow Karate For Kids into a the school that they would want their children to train at. In 2012, Karate For Kids moved from the Walker Center on Cedar Hills Blvd to its new location on Hall Blvd right next to Hall Street Grill and I love Sushi. Karate For Kids is a family run school that continues to train children to be leaders in their own lives.
