History
The Edwin K Bed & Breakfast was built in 1914 by Edwin Kyle. The Kyle family were early commercial entrepreneur's in Florence, Oregon. The Edwin K is a Sears Craftsman home. The front porch showcases the original floors and windows that block the coastal wind. The living room and dining room feature the original fir cabinets, windows, beam ceilings and oak floors. The home was originally located next to the Siuslaw River bridge. In 1970 it was relocated to its current location across from the Siuslaw River and Oregon National Sand Dunes. The house became a Bed & Breakfast in 1992. Enjoy a walk from the Edwin K to Old Town Florence and explore the numerous shops & dining options. You can even see the Kyle Building that housed the town's mercantile in the early 1900's.
