Dough Dough Bakery was started in May of 2012 by chef Jonathan Hoffman. Chef Hoffman had also just begun his private chef service, Chefs Table and was in need of fresh bread and desserts. Thinking that, while he was making goodies for his chef services, he may as well see if businesses would like to buy his goods as well. Turns out they did, and slowly the bakery business overtook the private chef business. In the beginning of 2017 the wholesale business took of and the small kitchen in the back of the Surfcrest market became too small and the current location in Seaside opened up. Jonathan and Alex jumped at the opportunity to expand into retail, while continuing the wholesale business as well. The Seaside location opened on June 15th 2017.
