History
If you want to go WAY back, I'd say I got my start the first time my folks gave me a set of LEGOs to play with; from that point on, the creative juices never stopped flowing. In 2006, I needed a table for an odd-shaped space in my apartment in Olympia, WA. I started taking woodworking classes at night at the Evergreen State College with Daryl Morgan, a highly accomplished craftsman, teacher, father, and friend. When I graduated in 2007, I set up shop at my house on on Division St. in NW Olympia and started building furniture for myself and my friends. In 2009, I moved to Portland and officially started my woodworking business under the name Division Street Works; I think it's important to remember and pay homage to where you start, regardless of how important or rich or famous you eventually become (take a lesson from this, professional sports stars!). In 2011, I moved to my present location, a 1000 sq/ft commercial shop near the Kenton neighborhood.
