I first came to Portland in August of 2017 making a road trip with my best friend up the west coast from California. I originally wanted to see Crater Lake reading in Adventure magazines growing up and was awed by it. We continued our Oregon trail past other sites as I fell in love with the state and the people who are super friendly. Finally, we hit Portland and being huge foodies had to try everything with a vowel in it. I ate an embarrassing amount of cuisines from food carts and posed the idea of Bake and a food cart to my friend on the last day I was there. A year later after serious industrial research, numerous trips, talking to food cart owners, and a through the roof food and BLAM! I found the perfect spot in Sellwood. We have gifted Portland with the best and only source for Bake from the tip of Chile to the tip of Alaska and west of the Mississippi.

West Indian, Caribbean Masterful Cuisines. Bake is a Guyanese semi sweet handheld puff bread. When its golden tender outer edge is pierced, it reveals a luscious steamy doughy center. Bake is usually served as a treat of a Sunday breakfast meal within families. Bake on the Run fully packs all Bake with select stuffings until they overflow. Ingredients: Love, Bob's Red Mill Unbleached White All-Purpose Flour, Water, Sugar, Aluminum free baking powder, and corn oil. 1) Egg and Saltfish (Sweet and Savory) - We take Bacalhau (Portuguese style dried salted cod) and burning off a lot of the salt. We then mince it up and mix it into an omelet with eggs, onions, scallions, tomatoes with just a hint of black pepper. 2) Chana Aloo Curry (Tasty and Wholesome Vegan) - Hindi for chickpea potato curry. We boil chickpeas and cut-up potatoes to the perfect tenderness before adding sweet peas, onions, and carrots. We prepare our unique curry and marinate the cuisine for 24 hours to complete the heartiness making the comfort food champ. 3) Nutella (Sweet-tooth Vegetarian) - Gobs of Nutella in steamy Bake under powdery sugar decadence. 4) Jam: Chef's Choice (Vegan & GF) - One jam comprised of organic blackberry, blueberry, pomegranate, and acai berries rained on by powdered sugar. Chana Aloo Curry Bowl (Vegan & GF)- A super generous portion of Chana Aloo curry on a bed of steaming Basmati rice.
