The café has an authentic, natural beauty and rustic charm. Seating in the café takes you back to a simpler time, complete with an old stone hearth fireplace, warm wood accents, and rustic décor. The beautiful two-piece mahogany bar was built in Chicago in 1864, travelled around the horn and made its trek north up the Pacific coast. It was moved here from the "Y" at Austin Junction in 1959 when the building was constructed. Many locals, motorcyclists, bicyclists, hikers, travelers and hunters have enjoyed its beauty and their time at the Austin House. Wi-Fi is available for guests to connect in our remote part of the world! We have some basic store necessities, including ice and regular fuel and the biggest necessity... ICE CREAM!
