Atif Zaman, M.D., M.P.H. is the SVP, Chief Clinical Officer at OHSU Health and a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the School of Medicine in Portland, OR. With expertise in cancer, digestive health, hepatology, and liver disease, Dr. Zaman is the director of Clinical Hepatology at OHSU and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. His research interests include Hepatitis C, portal hypertension, gastrointestinal bleeding, public health, and liver disease.
Dr. Zaman received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor School of Medicine. He also completed a Gastroenterology fellowship at OHSU. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Zaman is involved in various research studies, including a physician-based surveillance system for chronic liver disease and a multi-center trial to study acute liver failure.
