Arts in Education of the Gorge, based in Hood River, Oregon, has been serving the Columbia River Gorge region since 1986. With a mission to enhance every child's education through performing, visual, literary, and media arts, they engage K-12 students in the creative process through in-school art residencies, after-school arts partnerships, and community arts programs.
Employing 30 teaching artists per year and reaching over 7500 students annually, Arts in Education of the Gorge inspires students to stretch, explore, and create through arts education experiences. Their teaching artists, including metal sculptors, film makers, taiko drummers, and muralists, are passionate working artists who share their knowledge and expertise in schools and the community.
