Youth at Heart is a nonprofit organization formed in 2003 by the merger of Destination Discovery and Helping Hands of Tulsa. It provides cultural and educational after-school and summer programs that offer alternatives to idleness, vandalism, school truancy, drug use and gang-related activities. The agency s program serves youths between the ages of 6 and 18 who live in Tulsa s public housing communities and low-income apartment complexes. Additionally, it organizes various recreational activities, such as summer camps, field trips and events, as well as offers lunch and snacks.
