Roosevelt Middle School, established in 1960, is named after Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who was a former president of the United States. It serves students in grades six through eight. The school supports various after-school and Saturday tutorial sessions. Roosevelt Middle School provides coaching and training in a variety of athletic activities, such as football, basketball, soccer, softball, baseball, volleyball, and track and field. It maintains a choir, orchestra and student council. The school is a part of Oklahoma City Public Schools, which is one of the largest school systems in Oklahoma. Roosevelt Middle School has an annual enrollment of more than 900 students and is located in Oklahoma City.
