I grew up around medicine and knew at a young age I wanted to be a physician. I was very drawn to the field of surgery and felt pretty certain that I wanted to be a surgeon. As time went on, I became drawn to matters surrounding women's health and sought out ways to incorporate this into my desire to become a surgeon. Ultimately, I chose OB/GYN and sub-specialized in Gynecologic Oncology in order to improve options and outcomes for women with pelvic cancers. I am passionate about treating the whole patient and helping patients and families understand details about their diagnosis and available options. I personalize treatment options to fit the diagnosis and overall health status. I am a huge advocate of minimally invasive surgery in order to enable women to resume their normal life and activities quickly with minimal pain. I want patients to know that I value their opinions and questions, and that their treatment plan is a joint decision.
