ScissorTail Energy is a provider of natural gas midstream services in central and eastern Oklahoma. The company is a part of Copano Energy, which is a midstream natural gas company that offers services for natural gas producers. Founded in 1992, the parent company specialized in natural gas gathering, intrastate transmission, processing, conditioning and treating solutions. It maintains operations in Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming and Louisiana. Copano Energy serves producers of more than 1 million MMBtu per day of natural gas. The parent company operates over 6,000 miles of active natural gas pipelines. It manages low-pressure natural gas gathering systems and processing plants. Copano Energy maintains nearly 250 miles of pipelines in the Rocky Mountains segment.
