The first Johnnie s Charcoal Broiler was opened in 1971 in Oklahoma City. Today, it is a chain of nearly eleven restaurants that are owned by David and Rick Haynes. It serves more than 30,000 burgers each week. The restaurant s menu includes a variety of sandwiches, salads, sides, soups, steaks and desserts. Johnnie s Charcoal Broiler additionally offers a special children s menu that includes breaded chicken strips, grilled cheese sandwiches and junior burgers. It operates a club that provides information related to special offers and events to members. In addition, the restaurant has a private room for various social and corporate events and can accommodate up to 75 guests. Johnnie s Charcoal Broiler maintains a location in Edmond, Okla.
